Priscilla Meyers

Priscilla L. Meyers, age 74, of Dyer, Indiana, passed away suddenly at her home and entered into her Heavenly home on August 31, 2021. She is survived by her sister, Elaine Auzenne of Lansing, IL; niece, Diana Isbell (Thomas) of Ft. Worth, TX and their children Benjamin and Abigail; and nephew, Daniel Auzenne of Lansing, IL and his fiance (Victoria Barrows). She was preceded in death by her father, Keef W. Meyers; mother, Pauline J. Meyers; and brother-in-law, Donald Auzenne. Priscilla was formerly from Lansing, Illinois and a graduate of Thornton Fractional South High School. She went on to attend Hardin Simmons University in Abilene, TX for a year and then returned home to work at Pullman Standard in Chicago, IL for the next 20 years. She retired three years ago after working 30 years as a secretary in Plant Operations at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart, IN. She was a member of Village Church in Dyer, IN and enjoyed reading and studying God’s Word in her Bible. One of her favorite Bible verses comes from Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast. Though it had been many years since she traveled, she enjoyed reading and watching programs about different cultures and places around the world. She took much interest in her nephew’s extensive worldwide travels and lived vicariously through his experiences. Her niece, nephew, great-nephew and great-niece were her pride and joy. The many beautiful family scrapbook picture albums she made are such a treasured family legacy she left behind. Priscilla will be remembered for her caring kindness, generosity, and her enjoyment in spending time with her family. She will truly be missed by her family and friends, but they also rejoice that she is with the Lord in her eternal home where there is no more pain or tears. She was laid to rest Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Memory Lane Funeral Home, 6305 W. Lincoln Highway (US 30), Crown Point, Indiana.
