Gregory Lukas
January 21, 1950 - April 13, 2022
Gregory “Greg” Lukas, age 72, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2022 with his family by his side. Greg was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Linda (Brister) Lukas, parents George and Virginia Lukas, and brother Terrence Lukas. He is survived by his sister Audery (Brett) Grady, nieces and nephews, Lindsey (Nate Small) Grady, Ryan (Katlyn) Grady, Brittany (Ryan) Brown, great nephews Jackson, Rhett, and Maverick, great niece Addison, and multiple nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews from the Brister family. Greg was a firefighter and paramedic while serving in the United States Air Force. He was the fire protection supervisor, 20 years. He enjoyed the traveling opportunities he was afforded while in the service, and fondly recalled memories of time he spent stationed in Guam, London, and California. After the military, Greg worked at the American Red Cross, was a bus driver at Griffith public schools, and most of all enjoyed and performed ministry work at various churches and hospitals in the area. Greg will be remembered for his great sense of humor, the love he had for his family, family pets and animals of all kinds, and the Lord Jesus Christ. His family will cherish memories of playing board and video games together and will miss his laughter. Visitation will be from 10am-12pm on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at Memory Lane Funeral Home, 6305 W Lincoln Hwy, Crown Point, IN 46307 with funeral services immediately to follow.
